For churches it’s so important to not assume that people will handle it in similar ways to others, or that one story will give a script for the next. She emphasized the need for churches to be aware and inclusive of those facing fertility challenges, suggesting practical resources for people to educate themselves with and provide support for people.
A few resources she mentioned were the Waiting in Hope devotional and the book "Love Them Well" by Thelma Nienhuis. One of the most impactful quotes from the episode was Jenna's reflection on the intersection of grief and joy in the journey of infertility: "Grief and joy hold hands. It's like, I'm really happy for you, but this is really hard for me." This sentiment captures part of the complex emotions and struggles faced by individuals navigating infertility.
